This depression that you hear is just fashion for the way I express how we feel in the most adverse of moments tripped up on god-knows-what torn out through my lungs some are seconds stretched for miles demonstrations of severities lessons since learned from and mistakes we’re still making So this goes out to you to say that it’s alright hard as it may be at times you’re probably not going to die and you may cry from time to time it's nothing to worry about you’ll be alright for now Seems I’m too into our progressions obsessed to the point where I blur between feeling desperate and taking the edge to my wrist not that I haven’t considered it ending it all’s so easy please there is no need for tears here I’ve only stopped dreaming So this goes out to you to say that it’s alright sick as I may seem to be I’m nowhere near dying and I may cry from time to time but I’m just getting it out I’ll be alright for now Hey there listen closely this is the verse for the ones who seem to think they go unnoticed; unloved driven to worse things I will not say what or what it not to do but if you let go too soon you might miss some things worth pushing through So this goes out to you to say that it’s alright hard as it may be at times you’re probably not going to die and you may cry from time to time but you’re just getting it out you’ll be alright for now that's all I can say for now

He didn’t even mean Anything like that They’re only words And he never thinks first Can you really blame him When everything’s so different? She didn’t mean for him to worry But he seems to anyway Now he’s always freaking out No matter what she says And you know it can be hard When you know there’s lying Some say it’s wrong So imperfect we are We could take it back But then Who would we be? People that we aren’t? Trying for What we feel the other really wants? Those things we’re not Which brings us to this And everything’s over Tell me what’s so wrong? Tell me what are you hiding? Cause I know it can be hard I’m still trying Some say it’s wrong So imperfect we are We could take it back But then Who would we be? People that we aren’t? Trying for What we feel the other really wants? Those things we’re not

about

Part two of the album that never was. These demos were originally only intended to be demos used to shop the idea for the album around until a suitable situation was found. As time passed it became apparent that such a large project, nearly 25 songs, needed to be done in-house. The live band recorded live renditions of most of these songs however, to this day those recordings remain unfinished and possibly lost forever.

Though the album was intended to be listened to from start to finish, Vol II's song collection is much darker and lengthier.

“The Constant State of Peripeteia” the desired title track of the album, along with “Alright For Now” and “Princess Methamphetamine” were staples in the live set from 2004 – 2006.

“Drowning”, “Consequences” and “Confidence” were only performed rarely and with Jon Dinan on piano.

“This Endless Walk” and “The Best Marks The End” were never performed live and no other versions exist.

“So Imperfect” is presented as a reprise on The Lighter Side of Devastation.
